Inside Bloomberg’s DC Office
I went to Bloomberg‘s DC headquarters to attend a training session on “News and Global Macroeconomic Analysis”. Over the course of the day, I learned how to manage data sets from market, reference, and analytical sources using a Bloomberg data terminal. (Believe it or not, I actually eat this stuff up.) I also learned Bloomberg system logic and how to use their API.
Surprisingly, the Bloomberg office had more amenities then their nearby Google neighbor. In fact, I snapped several photos of the office’s well stocked kitchen, which offers free food to employees and visitors. How well stocked? I’d argue the Bloomberg kitchen had more food choices than the local K Street CVS.
Anyway, the Bloomberg office had a number of “sensitive” areas were photos were not allowed, so I was only allowed to snap a few of the more benign areas.
(Disclaimer: I never intended wordtheory.org to be a photoblog, so you’ll have to deal with my bare-bones gallery. How bare-bones, you ask? Be ready to use your browser’s “go back one page” button if you click a thumbnail.)
